I Just Got A Perm!

I’ve always wanted curly hair and on a whim got a perm yesterday. I look like Joey McIntyre from New Kids On The Block. I’m sure it’s going to look horrible soon but I love it right now.

If it doesn’t work out you can be an extra in the next “stranger things” episode.

You should have tried Lilt, OP, if you wanted the look of naturally curly hair.

I’ve had my hair permed for years. Nobody realises. I am over 40 and have long poker straight hair. I get it permed once a year and people assume I naturally have hair like Michael Hutchence.

My tip is get them done tighter than you want as they relax after a couple of weeks. I always wear mine back for a month before I can wear it down again.

My friend got a perm on the same day as me, I paid a fortune in a salon but she did hers at home! Then we go out to a bar and she queens it up with her hair and gets all these compliments.

Stupid bitch didn’t realise she was in a gay bar and straight men wouldn’t be noticing perms!! I sneaked home early and fucked her boyfriend whilst she was taken off to a midnight drag show!!

Shit, I think I’ve fucked it up. I knew I wasn’t supposed to wash it but I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to get sweaty and I just did an hour on the bike and it’s not nearly as curly now.

R5, I have a lot of fine hair, that light brown color that most people would call “dirty blond.” A girl that tends bar at a local restaurant just got out of hair school and she offered to do it.

R16 If you got sweaty there is nothing you can do. You’re not supposed to wash it for 48 hours as the bonds will still be reforming.

Also, sleeping on a new perm is a nightmare as you wake up and it’s all over the place, so you will need to mist some water into it and scrunch it up a bit tomorrow.

R20, my hair isn’t highlighted, that’s just what it does in the light. It changes color based on how the light is hitting it.
